Born on April 5,1996 in Virajpet, Karnataka. Daughter of Madan Mandanna and Suman Mandanna.


CAREER

Began her acting career as a lead actress in the 2016 Kannada film "Kirik party". Gained recognition for her roles in: "Anjani putra" 2018, "Chamak" 2017, "Geetha Govindam" 2018, "Dear Comrade" 2019, "Sarileru Neekevvaru" 2020. Has worked with notable directors like Rakshit Shetty and parasuram.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

Won the Best Debut Actress award at the 2017 SIIMA Awards. Won the Best Actress award at the 2019 Filmfare Awards South. Rashmika was featured by Forbes India in their 30 under 30 list in 2024. She was also named among South India's highest-paid actresses by GQ.

Rashmika's recent film "Animal" received mixed reviews from critics, but she defended her role, saying that her character was "Pure, real, unfiltered, strong and raw". Despite the mixed reviews, "Animal" proved to be a major commercial success, grossing over 9/- Billion (US$ 110 million)

DEEPFAKE CONTROVERSY

In November 2023, a deepfake of Rashmika
was posted on social media, which led to her releasing a statement saying she was "Scared not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused.
